War is also displayed negatively using this sentence She wasshivering and laughing and throwing her head second. People would notnormally be doing this and so it makes the reader inter-group communication disease-likebehaviour with war. Louis Simpsons technique in The Battle isfascinating as he uses repetition, onomatopoeia, tempo and colours toproduce an anti-war description.
